Originally developed by Mitsubishi to allow entry into the World Rally Championship, the Evolution soon became the performance flagship of the company. It was intended to be a Japanese only model, but the grey import market soon flooded with them and Mitsubishi quickly agreed to supply Australia's Ralliart dealers with official models.
This tenth generation Evo X featured a newly designed 4B11T all-aluminium engine, with full-time four wheel drive and a sequential SST twin-clutch transmission. Sadly the last model in the Lancer Evolution marque. It will be missed.
